Breeding timing in northern whitetails is driven by photoperiod, the changing length of daylight, working through the doe estrous cycle. That mechanism is remarkably stable year over year. Peak breeding in Michigan lands in roughly the same window every November regardless of whether the fall has been warm or cold.
What weather does change, and changes a great deal, is how much daylight movement you observe. A warm front during peak breeding can make the woods feel dead while the same amount of breeding is happening at night. A hard cold snap in the same week can make it look like the rut switched on. It did not. Your odds of seeing it did.
This distinction matters practically: do not push your hunting week later because the fall has been warm. The does will cycle on schedule. Take the days you have and hunt the cold ones hardest.

Michigan opens regular firearm season on November 15 every year, and that date falls squarely inside the peak breeding window. It is the reason the opener is culturally enormous here and the reason it produces mature bucks in daylight that are otherwise nocturnal for eleven months.
It also means opening day is not the same hunt as the chase phase a week or two earlier. During peak breeding a buck tending a doe may barely move for a day and a half. Sits can be slow in a way that has nothing to do with deer numbers. The counterweight is the sheer volume of hunters in the woods on November 15, which keeps deer moving in ways they would not otherwise.
Moon phase gets more credit than the evidence supports. The honest summary is that the moon does not move the breeding calendar, and its effect on daylight movement is small relative to cold fronts, hunting pressure, food, and where the does are. It is displayed on this site because people look for it, not because it should be the thing you plan around.
